THE WELD BETWEEN THE AXLE TUBE AND THE BRAKE MOUNTING FLANGE OF THE TWO SPEED, 15,000 LB. CAPACITY REAR AXLE MAY BE DEFICIENT. IF THIS WELD WERE TO FRACTURE DURING VEHICLE OPERATIONS, IT WOULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ADJACENT BRAKE LINES, RESULTING IN A REDUCTION OF BRAKING CAPABILITY. THIS COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.
