Issue: rnOn a small number of electric motorcycles, the steering shaft may not be strong enough. Under certain conditions (like hitting a curb or a large pothole), the steering shaft could break and cause a loss of steering control. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnCake advises not to drive your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed. Cake will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact the company to arrange for the steering shaft to be replaced.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023665.
