THERE ARE TWO DEFECTS IN THIS RECALL. 1. THE CIRCUITRY CONTACT PIECE IN THE HEADLAMP DIMMER SWITCH COULD BECOME DISLOCATED CAUSING THE HEADLAMP TO FAIL. SUDDEN LOSS OF ILLUMINATION DURING NIGHT TIME OPERATION COULD REULT IN AN ACCIDENT. 2. INSUFFICIENT GREASE ON THE REAR WHEEL NEEDLE BEARING COULD CAUSE WHEEL BEARING FAILURE AND REAR WHEEL LOCK-UP. THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF CONTROL AND VEHICLE CRASH.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1985075.
