On certain travel trailers, insufficient wheel hub bearing lubrication may have been applied to inner wheel bearings at the time of manufacture. This could cause the bearings to overheat and fail, potentially resulting in wheel separation. A wheel separating from the vehicle could cause a loss of control and a crash. In addition, the wheel assembly could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander. These issues could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect hubs and repack / replace bearings as necessary.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2014077.
