Certain car seats may not comply with the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations. The registration card included with the child car seat does not contain a space for consumers to enter the date of purchase. Correction: A production change has been undertaken to remedy the technical non-compliance condition. No corrective recall action is required as the technical non-compliance condition is deemed to be non-safety related.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012381.
