Issue: rnOn certain trucks, the daytime running lamps (DRLs) may not turn on when the vehicle starts moving. Canadian regulations require that DRLs must be on while driving, unless the headlamps or fog lamps are switched on. rnNote: This recall only affects trucks that were repaired under recall 21KWD (Transport Canada recall 2021-287). rnrnSafety Risk: rnDriving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnPACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2022185.
