Certain vehicles may have an incorrect front wheelhouse splash shield on one or both sides. An incorrect splash shield could rub against the rubber portion of the front brake hose causing the hose to wear through and resulting in the failure of the front hydraulic brake system. This would result in increased stopping distances and a possible crash. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and correct splash shield installed if necessary. Additionally, where there is an incorrect splash shield, the brake hose will be replaced.
