On certain transit buses, the Ultra Compact Module (UCM), which monitors the temperature and pressure across the exhaust Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), can fail, causing an engine stall or the UCM's wiring harness to overheat and possibly ignite. This could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the 5 amp circuit breaker for the UCM with a 2 amp fuse to mitigate a failed UCM from subsequently causing a fire.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2007290.
