Issue: rnOn certain side-by-side UTVs, the exterior door handles could stick open and cause the door(s) to open unexpectedly while driving. rnNote: This recall only affects NorthStar Premium and Ultimate edition models. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA door that opens suddenly while driving could create a risk of injury and/or increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, Polaris advises that you should inspect the outer door handles before driving until the recall repairs are completed. In addition, owners should follow the Safety - Owner Requirement section of the owner's manual. Polaris will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your UTV to a dealership to replace the door actuators and to ensure the door handles work correctly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024695.
