On certain snowmobiles, fuel hoses located on the upper left-hand side of the airbox may have been incorrectly routed during vehicle assembly. As such, the fuel delivery line and the fuel return line could rub together during vehicle operation. The resultant chafe damage can eventually cause a fuel leak which, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, re-route the fuel lines.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009096.
