On certain motorhomes built using converted Dodge Sprinter vans, equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine, the crankshaft sensor may fail, causing the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. Correction: Chrysler/Dodge dealers will replace the crankshaft sensor.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2008197.
