Issue: nOn certain trucks, the warning indicator for low air brake pressure shows u201cBRAKE AIRu201d instead of a low brake pressure symbol. Recent changes to Canadian regulations require this symbol to be used. nNote: This recall only affect trucks equipped with an ICU4Me or a Light Bar Cluster configuration. nnSafety Risk: nWhile there is a low risk to safety, as per Canadian regulations, the indicator must use common symbols, instead of words, to avoid driver confusion. nnCorrective Actions: nThe company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Daimler Trucks of North America authorized service facility to replace the instrument cluster panel.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2019499.
