CarsMultiverse is published by A.I.T. Multiverse Consulting Ltd, Nicosia, Cyprus. This page says what we publish, what we refuse to publish, and what to do when we get something wrong.
What this site is
We republish what vehicle safety authorities have already made public, and we keep a dated copy of the wording so that a later edit can be seen. That is the whole product. Every figure on the site traces to a file an authority published, and the page carrying a figure names the file and the date we read it.
What we do not do
We do not review cars, recommend cars, or rank manufacturers by anything other than what the register itself records. We do not accept payment for coverage, for placement, or for emphasis. Where a page carries an affiliate link it is marked as one, and no affiliate arrangement changes which recalls appear or how a notice is described; the full position is on the disclosure page. Nobody can buy their way into or out of the record, because the record is not ours to edit: it is the authority’s, and we only copy it.
We are a company, not a newsroom
We are not journalists and we do not claim the protections or the licence of journalism. We are a company that reads public registers carefully and publishes what it finds. Where we describe something as a change, we mean only that the text we read on one date differed from the text we read on another. We do not know why any wording was changed, and we do not speculate about it.
Where we can be wrong
An authority can publish an error, and we will faithfully reproduce it. Our own reading can be wrong: a parser can misread a field, a date can be recorded against the wrong campaign, a manufacturer filed under two spellings can be counted twice. Where we know a source is unreliable we say so on the page rather than in a footnote.
We publish the count of records we excluded and why, on every study that excludes any. A figure without its exclusions is not a figure we are willing to print.
Corrections
If something here is wrong we want to know, and we would rather hear it from you than not hear it. Corrections are made on the page itself and listed on the corrections page, with the date and what changed. We do not quietly edit a page and leave no trace: that is the exact behaviour this site exists to record.
Advice
Nothing here is legal, financial or engineering advice. We can tell you what an authority published about a campaign. We cannot tell you whether it applies to your vehicle (only a vehicle identification number can settle that, through the authority’s own lookup), and we cannot act on a complaint on your behalf.
