What the notice says today

The issue

On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by an FCA dealer during recalls 64A and 20D (Transport Canada recall nos. 2023-336 and 2026-037) may not have been done correctly or may not be effective. As a result, another repair is required. On certain vehicles, the rear coil springs may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the spring(s) could detach from the vehicle while driving.

The safety risk

A coil spring that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.

What will be done

FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear coil spring lower isolators.

This recall affects 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2023 Grand Cherokee L models.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, la réparation effectuée par un concessionnaire FCA dans le cadre des rappels 64A et 20D (numéros de rappel 2023-336 et 2026-037 de Transports Canada) pourrait ne pas avoir été effectuée correctement. Par conséquent, une autre réparation est nécessaire. Sur certains véhicules, les ressorts hélicoïdaux de la suspension arrière pourraient avoir été mal installés. Par conséquent, le ou les ressorts pourraient se détacher du véhicule pendant la conduite. Remarque : Ce rappel concerne seulement les modèles Jeep Grand Cherokee 2022-2023 et Grand Cherokee L 2021-2023. Risques pour la sécurité : Un ressort hélicoïdal qui se détache d'un véhicule pourrait poser un danger pour les autres usagers de la route et accroître les risques d'accident.
