What the notice says today
The issue
On a small number of motorhomes, the propane tank may not have been installed correctly. As a result, no remote shut-off valve was installed, and the tank may not be properly secured. If the tank were to become loose, it could detach.
The safety risk
If there is a propane leak and there is no remote shut-off valve, there could be an increased risk of a fire or explosion. Additionally, a propane tank that detaches from the motorhome could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
What will be done
Tiffin will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to install a remote shut off for the propane tank and replace the bracket.

Problème : Sur un petit nombre d'autocaravanes, le réservoir de propane pourrait ne pas avoir été installé correctement. Par conséquent, aucune soupape d'arrêt à distance n'a été installée et le réservoir pourrait ne pas être correctement fixé. Si le réservoir se desserrait, il pourrait se détacher. Risques pour la sécurité : Si une fuite de propane se produit et qu'il n'y a pas de soupape d'arrêt à distance, le risque d'incendie ou d'explosion pourrait être augmenté. De plus, un réservoir de propane qui se détache de l'autocaravane pourrait créer un danger pour les autres usagers de la route et augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Tiffin doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire afin de faire installer une soupape d'arrêt à distance pour le réservoir de propane et de remplacer le support.
