What the notice says today
The issue
On certain electric school buses, a wire harness could become damaged by contact with a metal bracket. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels.
The safety risk
A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective measures: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to secure the wire harness. The wire harness will also be inspected and, if necessary, replaced.
Note
This problem could also prevent the school bus from charging.

Problème : Sur certains autobus scolaires électriques, un faisceau de câbles pourrait s'endommager par contact avec un support métallique. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir une perte soudaine de puissance aux roues. Remarque : Ce problème pourrait également empêcher l'autobus scolaire de se recharger. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance aux roues pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Micro Bird doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autobus scolaire chez un concessionnaire pour fixer le faisceau de câbles. Le faisceau de câbles sera également inspecté et, au besoin, remplacé.
