The issue
On certain buses, the brake treadle valve may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the air line(s) could disconnect from the valve connections and cause an air leak in the brake system. If this happens, there could be reduced braking.
The safety risk
Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.
What will be done
Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and secure the treadle valve connections.

Problème : Sur certains autobus, la soupape de la pédale de frein pourrait ne pas avoir été installée correctement. Par conséquent, une ou plusieurs conduites d'air pourraient se déconnecter des raccords de la soupape et provoquer une fuite d'air dans le système de freinage. Si cela se produisait, la capacité de freinage pourrait être réduite. Risques pour la sécurité : Une capacité de freinage réduite pourrait accroître les distances de freinage et augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Nova Bus doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions pour inspecter et sécuriser les raccords de la soupape de pédale de frein.
