What the notice says today

The issue

On certain vehicles, the headlamp assemblies may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, on Super Duty models equipped with LED reflector headlamps, the daytime running lamps (DRLs), parking lamps, low beams, and/or high beams may be dim or may not work. On Super Duty models equipped with LED projector headlamps, the daytime running lamps (DRLs) and parking lamps may be dim or may not work. For Expedition models, the low beams and/or high beams may be dim or may not work.

The safety risk

Headlamps, parking lamps and/or daytime running lights (DRLs) that don't work properly could reduce visibility and make the vehicle less visible to other road users. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What will be done

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and replace the headlamp(s), as necessary.

Note

This recall only affects vehicles equipped with LED headlamps.
