What the notice says today
The issue
On certain electric school buses, the bolts that secure the high-voltage battery may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolts could loosen or break and cause the high-voltage battery to separate from the bus. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels.
The safety risk
A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A bus that is disabled could result in a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Additionally, a high-voltage battery that detaches from the bus could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
What will be done
Blue Bird will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, tighten or replace the mounting bolts for the high-voltage battery. The service manual will also be updated to specify how to properly tighten the bolts and the recommended service for them.

Problème : Sur certains autobus scolaires électriques, les boulons qui fixent la batterie haute tension pourraient ne pas avoir été serrés correctement. Par conséquent, les boulons pourraient se desserrer ou se casser et faire en sorte que la batterie haute tension se détache de l'autobus. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir une perte de puissance aux roues. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance aux roues pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Un autobus en panne pourrait entraîner le transfert des passagers dans un environnement non contrôlé, ce qui pourrait créer un risque de blessure.
