What the notice says today
The issue
Certain RV trailers were equipped with safety chains that are not strong enough. As a result, if the trailer becomes uncoupled from the tow vehicle, the safety chains could break. This could allow the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle.
The safety risk
A trailer that separates from the tow vehicle could create the risk of a crash.
What will be done
Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to replace the safety chains with stronger ones.

Problème : Certaines caravanes ont été équipées de chaînes de sécurité qui ne sont pas suffisamment solides. Par conséquent, si la caravane se détache du véhicule tracteur, les chaînes de sécurité pourraient se rompre et la caravane pourrait se détacher du véhicule. Risques pour la sécurité : Une remorque qui se détache du véhicule tracteur pourrait créer un risque de collision. Mesures correctives : Grand Design RV doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'apporter leur caravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer les chaînes de sécurité par des chaînes plus solides.
