What the notice says today
The defect
The propulsion gas in the driver’s airbag may deteriorate over time, which can cause too high pressure when the airbag is activated.
The consequence
When the airbag is activated, the gas generator can crack. Metal parts can loose and hit passengers, resulting in serious injury or death.
What will be done
The vehicle owner is asked to contact the dealer, who will replace the driver’s airbag.
