THE TAIL LAMP LIGHT BULB SOCKETS INSTALLED IN 1979 FORD AND MERCURY MODEL SEDANS MAY BE OF INSUFFICIENT LENGTH. THE TAIL LAMP AND BACK- UP LAMP LIGHT BULB SOCKETS INSTALLED ON 1979 MERCURY MODEL STATION WAGONS MAY HAVE EXCESS LENGTH. USE OF THESE INCORRECT SOCKETS COULD CAUSE THE AFFECTED LAMPS TO FAIL THE PHOTOMETRIC OUTPUT REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL SAFETY STANDARD 108 AND 108A - LIGHTING EQUIPMENT.
