On certain CB750KZ, extreme engine oil pressure variation, such as caused when the engine is repeatedly revved-up immediately after starting in cold weather, could cause the countershaft oil seal to split allowing a leakage of oil. If the rider is unaware of the leak and operates the vehicle, oil may come in contact with the rear tire resulting in a reduction of traction.
