THE FRONT FENDER MOUNTING BOLTS CAN LOOSEN AFTER EXTENDED VEHICLE USE. THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN MOUNTING BOLT LOSS WHICH COULD ALLOW THE FRONT FENDER TO CONTACT THE TIRE AND CAUSE THE TIRE TO SKID.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1980028.
