SOME VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED WITH IMPROPERLY MATCHED HAND BRAKE RATCHET AND PLUNGER COMPONENTS. THIS CONDITION MAY ALLOW THE HAND BRAKE, WHEN FULLY APPLIED, TO DISENGAGE WHEN A SLIGHT DOWNWARD PRESSURE IS APPLIED ON THE TOP OF THE LEVER.
