VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS. THE CLUTCH CABLE MAY RUB AGAINST THE MASTER CYLINDER BRAKE PIPE WHEN THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS OPERATED. THIS COULD EVENTUALLY RESULT IN THE FAILURE OF THE BRAKE PIPE CAUSING LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID AND DUE TO THE DUAL BRAKING SYSTEM, A PARTIAL LOSS OF BRAKING ACTION. SHOULD A PARTIAL LOSS OB BRAKING ACTION OCCUR WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AT A TIME WHEN MINIMUM STOPPING DISTANCES ARE REQUIRED, A VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1982022.
