POLICE PACKAGE VEHICLES. RIGHT AND LEFT REAR SUSPENSION LOWER CONTROL ARMS MAY HAVE BEEN FABRICATED FROM STEEL WITH A MATERIAL THICKNESS BELOW THE MINIMUM SPECIFICATION. UNDER SEVERE CONDITIONS, STRESSES INDUCED IN THE CONTROL ARMS COULD CAUSE FATIGUE CRACKS WITH POSSIBLE SUBSEQUENT BREAKAGE OF THE CONTROL ARMS. THIS WOULD ALLOW THE REAR AXLE TO SHIFT AND ADVERSELY AFFECT VEHICLE CONTROL.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1982103.
