SOME OF THE ROCKWELL FRONT AXLES MAY CONTAIN BRAKE ASSEMBLY MOUNTING NUTS WHICH ARE NOT PROPERLY TIGHTENED. THESE NUTS COULD LOOSEN UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS AND ALLOW THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY TO BECOME MIS-POSITIONED. THIS MAY RESULT IN REDUCED BRAKING CAPABILITY, BRAKE DRAG, HEAT BUILD UP IN THE WHEEL AND TIRE, DECREASED STEERING CONTROL AND A POTENTIAL FOR VEHICLE CRASH. rnCORRECTION: NUTS SECURING THE BRAKE SPIDER TO THE STUDS WILL BE RETORQUED.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1986088.
