THE BRAKE HYDRAULIC UNIT MOUNTING BOLTS ON THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN UNDERTORQUED. THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE INCREASED BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL AND/OR POOR PEDAL FEEL IF THE ATTACHMENT LOOSENS. IN ADDITION, THIS CONDITION COULD EVENTUALLY LEAD TO SEPARATION OF THE BRAKE HYDRAULIC UNIT FROM ITS MOUNTING BRACKETS RESULTING IN BRAKE LOSS AND A POSSIBLE VEHICLE CRASH. rnCORRECTION: HYDRAULIC UNIT MOUNTING BOLTS WILL BE REPLACED ON INVOLVED VEHICLES.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1988056.
