THE FUEL FILLER NECK ASSEMBLY MAY HAVE BEEN INCOMPLETELY WELDED ON THESE VEHICLES. THIS COULD ALLOW FUEL TO LEAK FROM THE FILLER NECK ASSEMBLY DURING FUEL TANK FILLING. IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION IMPACT, A LEAKY FILLER NECK ASSEMBLY COULD ALLOW FUEL SPILLAGE IN EXCESS OF C.M.V.S.S. 301 - FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY. rnCORRECTION: VEHICLES WILL BE INSPECTED AND THE FILLER NECK ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED IF NECESSARY.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1988083.
