NOTE: INCOMPLETE CHASSIS-CABS.
ONE OR MORE OF THE SIX CLAMPS THAT HOLD THE TIRE AND RIM ASSEMBLY TO THE CAST SPOKES OF THE FRONT WHEEL MAY HAVE BEEN OF AN INCORRECT SIZE. INSTALLATION OF THE CLAMPS MAY RESULT IN BENDING OF THE STUDS WHICH ARE USED TO ATTACH THE CLAMPS TO THE SPOKES. THIS WOULD INCREASE THE RISK OF STUD FRACTURE AND POSSIBLE WHEEL FAILURE.
CORRECTION. STUDS AND CLAMPS WILL BE REPLACED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.
Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1992163.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Ford: 1,346 in the register, and 169 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 1992.
