On certain vehicles equipped with intercooled turbo-diesel engines, the fuel injector pump fulcrum lever pin may break causing loss of throttle control and resulting in a full fuel level (maximum speed) condition. This could result in loss of vehicle control and a crash without prior warning. Correction: Fuel injection pump will be replaced with a new pump using a revised fulcrum pin and pin insertion method.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1994034.
