THE FOUR (4) STEERING COLUMN SUPPORT BRACKET ATTACHING BOLTS ON THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED WITH LESS THAN THE SPECIFIED TORQUE. IF THE BOLTS ARE NOT PROPERLY TORQUED, THEY MAY VIBRATE AND BECOME LOOSE OR FALL OUT. IN THE EVENT OF A FRONTAL COLLISION, THIS CONDITION COULD COMPROMISE THE INTEGRITY OF THE STEERING COLUMN AND INCREASE THE POTENTIAL FOR OCCUPANT INJURY.rnCORRECTION: STEERING COLUMN SUPPORT BRACKET BOLTS WILL BE TORQUED TO THE CORRECT SPECIFICATION.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1995040.
