Mercedes-Benz SL CLASS in the other registers
This site holds seven national and European registers. Mercedes-Benz SL CLASS is named on 5 British notices. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.
The British register
- DVSA recall R/2018/268: Mercedes-Benz CLA, B Class, SLC and 1 more (Doors on left vehicle side (passenger side) remain permanently lock...)
- DVSA recall R/2019/279: Mercedes-Benz SL Class (The passenger air bag cushion may not have been sewn according to s...)
- DVSA recall R/2019/362: Mercedes-Benz SL Class (Rear suspension mounting may not meet specification)
Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

On certain vehicles, if a headlamp wiper arm is forced down into a groove below the headlamp due to misadjustment by a workshop or dur to physical force, it can become jammed into the groove. The next time the windshield washers are operated with the headlamps ON, the washer pump will run continuously expelling all fluid. After several hours of running without fluid, the washer pump could seize up, or overheat and cause a vehicle fire. Correction: Washer pump will be replaced with one incorporating an internal thermal cut-out that can open the circuit to the pump after all the fluid is expelled.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1997001.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Mercedes-Benz: 477 in the register, and 243 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 1997.
