The rivet that retains the governor link to the rack bar can become loose. A loose rivet can result in rivet wear which in turn can result in poor engine performance symptoms including: low idle instability, engine dying form low idle or engine surge under operational loads. Correction: Control assembly will be inspected and replaced if necessary.
