On certain gas/electrical absorption RV and camping trailer refrigerators, the pressure tap device swivel nut may experience stress corrosion cracking. If the nut is cracked severely enough to relax the flare joint between the aluminum gas line tube and the pressure tap component, propane fuel gas has the potential to leak if the refrigerator is activated for operation in gas mode. This can present the potential for a fire to occur in the area behind the refrigerator if the leakage and accumulation is substantial enough to ignite from an adjacent burner. Correction: Swivel nut will be replaced.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1999216.
