On certain vehicles, the swing arm pivot bolt may loosen and fall out causing the swing arm to become partially disconnected from the frame. This can cause the vehicle to lose power, resulting in a loss of control and crash, resulting in severe injury or death. Correction: Dealer will install a swing arm pivot bolt retaining kit.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2002194.
