On certain buses equipped with Detroit Diesel series 50 engines, the turbocharger can fail, allowing lubricating oil to enter the exhaust system. This can result in an engine compartment fire, possibly resulting in personal injuries. Correction: Detroit Diesel will contact owners and make arrangements to install an exhaust temperature sensor and reprogram the Electronic Control Module (ECM).
