On certain motorcycles, the throttle twist grip may bind causing the throttle to stick or not return freely to a closed position due to metal to metal contact or debris between the throttle twist grip and the handlebar. Restricted throttle movement could result in loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and rework the throttle controls as required.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2005063.
