Kia SPECTRA in the other registers
This site holds seven national and European registers. Kia SPECTRA is named on 1 American notices. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.
The American register
Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

On certain vehicles equipped with an advanced airbag feature, the Occupant Classification System (OCS) installed in the right front seat of the vehicle may misclassify a child restraint seat as an adult. This may occur if the child seat is installed after an adult has been seated in the right front seat and there has not been a key ON - key OFF cycle with the right front seat empty prior to installation of the child restraint. The possibility of misclassification of a child restraint as an adult may allow the right front airbag or side impact airbag to deploy in a crash and could result in injury to the right front occupant. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the vehicles OCS Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2005288.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Kia: 197 in the register, and 404 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2005.
