Certain motorhomes built on Workhorse chassis do not comply with the CMVSS requirements concerning axle loading limitations. With a full fresh water tank, the front axle will exceed chassis weight limitations. Overloading a vehicle could negatively affect its handling characteristics and may result in a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the rubber auxiliary bumper located between the front axle and leaf spring with a new heavier bumper. By changing this bumper, the front axle rating of the unit increases from 8000 lbs to 8500 lbs.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2006022.
