On certain school buses, an inlet air fitting may fail, preventing the actuating air from powering the swing-out cross arm. A non-deploying cross arm allows passengers to walk within an area not visible by the driver as they cross in front of the bus during pick-up or discharge, placing them at risk of injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the inlet fitting plate assembly.
