On certain ATVs, the handlebar holder, tie-rod adjustment, and tie-rod end nuts may not have been tightened to the proper torque during vehicle assembly. Normal vehicle operation can cause the nuts to loosen resulting in a loss of steering control and creating the potential for a crash with injuries or death. Correction: Dealers will tighten the handlebar holder, tie-rod adjustment, and tie-rod end nuts to the proper torque.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2007012.
