When using certain infant car seats with the UAS belt (also referred to as the lower anchor strap) and with the adjustable recline foot extended, the adjustable recline foot may move from its original adjustment position during an impact introducing slack into the UAS belt. This could cause the infant restraint to function differently in a secondary collision event (e.g., a rollover, a second frontal, side or rear-end impact, etc.) and could increase the risk of injury to the occupant of the infant car seat or other occupants of the vehicle. Correction: ISIS Inc., will send a UAS belt kit to registered owners.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2007234.
