On certain fifth wheel trailers, the adapter bracket for the slideroom actuator may rub against the tires when the vehicle is loaded and driven over bumps. As a result, the tires may suffer damage in the tread area which, over time, could cause a blow-out. This would result in poor vehicle handling and an increased risk of a crash, causing injury or death. Correction: Dealers will trim the square corner of the lower rear part of the bracket to a radius thus giving clearance to the tires.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2007414.
