Certain Low Speed Motorcycles (LSM) fail to comply with CMVSS 108 - Lighting Systems and Retroreflective Devices, and CMVSS 123 - Controls and Displays. The spacing between the front turn signals does not meet the requirement specified by the Standard. This may reduce the ability of other motorists and bystanders to notice the rider's intentions to change lanes or make a turn. Also, the supplemental engine stop switch was omitted during vehicle assembly. The lack of this switch may prevent the rider from quickly stopping the engine in an emergency. Both of these issues could result in a crash causing personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will install an updated set of turn signal lamps, and a supplemental engine stop switch assembly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2008126.
