On certain vehicles equipped with an F1 manual transmission, the clutch sensor may malfunction under normal operating conditions, which could inhibit the proper function of the clutch assembly, making shifting of the gears very difficult, and potentially rendering the vehicle inoperable. In conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, this could increase the risk of a crash, causing personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the clutch sensor with an updated version.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2008165.
