On certain trucks, the fuel pump may develop a diesel fuel leak as a result of improper assembly process at the factory. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a vehicle fire, causing property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if no seepage or leakage is detected, the fuel pipe fittings will be tightened to specifications. However, should seepage or leakage be discovered, the fuel supply pump would be replaced.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2008200.
