On certain vehicles, the front and rear suspension upper and lower ball joint nuts may have been incorrectly torqued during vehicle assembly. This could allow the nuts to loosen, which may result in a loss of vehicle control and a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will verify tightening torque of the ball joint nuts and, if necessary, replace the suspension arms, ball joints and hub carriers.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009016.
