On certain motorhomes, the propane tank mounting bracket may have been incorrectly welded during vehicle assembly. Should the weld fail, the propane tank can tip or fall. An errant propane tank could strike a vehicle, property, or a bystander. A propane gas leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire or an explosion, which could cause property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, repair weld the bracket.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009102.
